Framing Basics, Terms and Techniques. Knowing what to ask for and how to maintain your wall art. Good basic information to take to your favorite frame shop that will help you make simple upgrades to protect and present your artwork.

Fresh from the Farmers’ Market: Vegetarian Cooking! Explore what is currently selling at the market that can be made into delicious vegetarian dishes and also enjoy a few samples! (No tofu involved!)

SALON III
Call for Entries!

The theme of the ATHENS ARTS salon III coincides with the 100 year celebration of the establishment of the state parks in Indiana. This includes, but is not limited to: views of or in parks, historical events concerning the parks, flora and fauna, people enjoying the parks and structures found within. The celebration of nature!

The parks were designed to be a gift to the people of Indiana and to enhance their lives for generations to come. Work accepted into the show does not have to be representational, but should show some link to the theme. We encourage you to explore all types of methods and media for this show - from traditional plein air to abstract, please feel free to interpret what this years theme means to you.
